Carrie Barron Ausbrooks, Vice Chair

Ausbrooks, Associate Dean for Assessment and Academic Affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington, earned her bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees from the University of North Texas. With over 27 years experience in education, Ausbrooks has worked for Fort Worth ISD and the University of North Texas. She is formerly Co-Director for the UNT Center for Education Law, Administration and Policy and former Associate Director for the Center for the Study of Education Reform. Ausbrooks specializes in education law, school choice, program/unit assessment, organizational systems, and educational policy and leadership. She serves on numerous professional organizations including Education Law Association, American Educational Research Association, Southwest Educational Research Association, Phi Delta Kappa, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Intercultural Development Research Association, and American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
