Jannis Hayers, Chair

Hayers, former teacher and school board member for 24 years in Electra Independent School District, earned her bachelor's degree in English from Texas Woman's University. She was a former Texas Association of School Board president and is currently Main Street Director for the City of Electra. Hayers organized the Electra Service Corporation, a senior citizen service organization; has served on the Electra Housing Authority; and the Electra Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She holds memberships in the Texas Economic Development Council, the Texas Downtown Association, and the First United Methodist Church in Electra, Texas.
