Turner, Superintendent for Coppell ISD, earned a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a master's degree along with a mid-management certificate from the University of Houston. He received his doctorate in educational administration from Baylor University. Turner has been in the education field for over 23 years. He has held positions with the Texas Association of School Administrators, the Texas Association of Suburban/Mid-Urban Schools, the Urban Superintendent Association of America, the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the American Association of School Administration Rotary.
