Wellman, Superintendent for the Eanes Independent School District, earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University, a master's degree from Colorado State University, and her doctorate from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is active in the Westlake Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and the American Association of School Administrators.
